If a download fails
Record the WarpFetch version, Windows version, source platform, task type and exact error message. Check whether the original media is still available and whether a single permitted item works before repeating an entire batch.
Avoid retrying a large batch repeatedly without checking the cause. For a subtitle problem, identify whether the track is missing, the language is wrong, or a saved file will not display in your player. These are different problems.
If subtitle controls do not appear
In version 1.2.1, subtitle selection is scoped to eligible YouTube video and playlist tasks. For a single video, check that it is not a live stream, that you selected a video format instead of audio-only, and that subtitle tracks were returned for the source.
The options are Save as file (.vtt) and Embed into video. Embedding is a Pro feature. If the video finishes but the subtitle task reports an unavailable language, rate limit or network error, report the subtitle error separately; that does not automatically mean the video failed.
If the local download engine is not ready
The application uses a local download engine. If it reports that this engine is not responding, parsing and downloads may be paused. Wait briefly, and restart the application if the problem persists. Include the exact message and version when contacting support; do not disable security software as a routine fix.
